This baker took on Toronto! (Again)

I had my audition for the Great Canadian Baking Show @cbcbakingshow and couldn't have left more proud.

Made an Earl Grey & Orange zested Yule log, with candied orange peels and sugar art to match. It was very well recieved and in a sea full of fabulous bakers, that was a pinch me moment!

I met so many great fellow bakers and show or no show, I am so thankful for the opportunity and grateful to even be considered.

Thanks for all the messages and cheers this weekend. I have the best cheer squad ever! ♥️

A very Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you. 🎄

This year I had the pleasure of sending sweet home with soooo many of you, and that is by far, my favorite part.

This baker will be signing off from today December 21st to January 11th for some much needed time with this crew ^

I hope your holidays are wonderful, that you spend the time with those you love, and those who love you. That we remember its not what's at our tree or table, but who is around them, that really matters.

I am also sending love and reminding you to give yourself grace this holiday season, as holidays can be equally joyous and hard all at once. Two different feelings can coexist at once. I am feeling that here, with it being the first Christmas without my mom.

But I am ending the year full of gratitude and looking forward to what 2026 has in store for this baker.

Hey 👋

There are a lot of new faces here, so I thought it was time to do a little hello and get to see the face behind the sweets!

My name is Brittany.
The face behind all the treats here!
I am a mom, wife, farmer, crazy pet lover, baker, and much much more.
I have four beautifully crazy and adventurous boys and a husband to blame for that. 🤣
Kidding, I do truly love their adventurous side and wouldn't have it any other way. Truth is, I am no different.
So, in short, I live in a house full of boys 🙋‍♀️
Things here are usually a little bit sweet with a whooleee lotta silly 😜
I snort when I laugh (if you listen to my stories, you'll already know this)
I love all things food, farming, cozy, furry, you name it.
I started this business 8 years ago when my kids were little.
Fun fact, I am a social worker by career, but when we decided to have littles, finding a job that I could do from home, and tailor around family and farm life drew me in, so I started Brittany Bakes and 8 years later here we are!
My favorite part of baking is the smiles and sharing the food brings.
I LOVE a good, sweet moment (pun intended)
Im a firm believer that food is food, food is fuel, and everything in moderation is 👌.
In a culture where so many industries try and demonize food, I am here to say that no one will be remembered in this life by what they ate or didn't eat, but by the time they shared.
So eat what you love, and love what you eat.
Life's much too short to do anything less. ❤️

There are a lot of new faces here, so I thought it was time to do a little hello and get to see the face behind the sweets!

My name is Brittany.
The face behind all the treats here!
I am a mom, wife, farmer, crazy pet lover, baker, and much much more.
I have four beautifully crazy and adventurous boys and a husband to blame for that. 🤣
Kidding, I do truly love their adventurous side and wouldn't have it any other way. Truth is, I am no different.

First Worlds since 93' and 93' was a good year if I do say so myself 😉🤣

We have new bars brewing all Fall long here.
And this one needs a NAME!

This bar is a 7 layer bar, yeeep you read that right.
It is..

A Chocolate graham crust layer,
Then a crushed pecan, pretzels and skor layer,
Next off a beautifully set caramel layer,
Annnd then a butterscotch peanut butter smooth layer,
With a biscoff layer complimenting everything so well,
Finally a milk chocolate ganahce layer,
And last but not least, one final layer or crushed pecans and pretzels!

Its a crunchy, smooth, and hit every flavor note bar!

What do we name this dream!?
Maybe its a lucky bar! (Says my boys haha)

A very Happy Thanksgiving from me and my crew ❤️

October here is for giving back to the community who supports me and allow me to do what I love to do.

You'll find my desserts at a few fundrasiers at the end of the month that you can dive into. More information to come on those. 😊

On a personal note, this was our first holiday without my mom, and it was weird. It reminds us here that it's not what's at your table, but who, that really matters.

I am beyond grateful for all the people in my corner supporting me here.

An extra special thanks to my other half/cameraman on this photo, who also doubles as a dishwasher, box carrier, box folder, the most awesome coffee maker and all around support when I am in over my head. (Lol)

Truth is, there just isn't a selfie stick long enough for this whole tall crew. We are determined to master a whole family selfie soon 🤣❤️

A fudge brownie base with biscoff biscuits crushed and baked in for a crunch, added to the fudgey layer.
Next up is a rich and creamy biscoff cookie butter layer.
Topped off with a light whipped creme layer.
Finally finished off with none other than a dusting of crushed crunchy cookies.

Fudgey, crunchy, smooth, creamy, and a whole lot of yum in one bar!
