Happy Saturday and to everyone who took home a box, I hope you love them as much as I loved creating them!

With Easter wrapping up, these are not posts that I like sharing to wrap up the weekend.

There was an incident sometime during pick up today (Saturday) where two boxes were retrieved from my fridge but not by the intended and labeled recipient. I was waiting for the day to finish, to see if anyone collected an extra box by pure honest mistake and came forward, but that didn't happen, so here we are.

If you took a box labeled Sarah VN or Amy S today and notice(d) I'm asking you to come forward. I have shared before and I will again, I do have full video security footage of my baking entrance, and now instead of enjoying my Easter with my family, I'm left to make time to go through 3 hours of footage to identify who may have taken more than they were here for.

With my boxes being pre pay and pre claim, I am having a hard time hoping that someone took an extra (or two) by mistake, but I am choosing to be (naively) hopeful.

And, if the box(es) were not retrieved in a mistaken manner, then we are looking at a whole different scenario.

I do offer contactless pick up as it allows me and my customers way more flexibility when I have over 50 pick ups days like today, but occurrences like these may affect that and that is disheartening!

And I post this here as the individual(s) who took the extra boxes have to follow my page to know I had boxes out, so I'm sending a call out, to come forward before I have to sit and go through footage and as a result hand information off to the appropriate services to deal with this.

Like I said, I never like making these posts and to all my valued customers who make pick-ups run smoothly otherwise, thank you.

- Vanilla cake, sandwiched around layers of peanut butter buttercream, wrapped in vanilla buttercream and topped with handmade chocolate glazed, pudding filled and caramel biscoff decorated donuts!

The best part was his other half had him convinced that she dropped the ball and had to do a grocery store cake...

Some new menu additions ♥️

New to Brittany Bakes menu is some pre-designed cakes that are available to order should you wish.

They are all still made fresh to order, just pre-designed for ease and with a budget in mind.

The flavors and colors are interchangeable. But the designs are already laid out. I know custom cake prices aren't in everyone's interest, and that is quite all right.

So if you want a beautiful cake for an event but do not want the custom cake price, here is a happy medium

Here is a warm reminder, In exactly 22 days, the sun will be setting at 7:00 p.m., brighter and warmer days are ahead ♥️

'Grandma's Garden'

A Mocha brownie base in memory of my Grandpa Besley, when he lived with us he drank coffee by the pot and we still smirk bout that today. So naturally coffee flavored Brownies were a must.

A moose tracks cookie layer and piped roses to top in memory of Grandma Roney, Moose Tracks was her flavor as were her beautiful rose gardens each year.

Not without a biscoff spread layer tying all the flavors together.

All set together in a chocolate flower pot.

When I was trying to decide what dessert to make for the @cbcbakingshow this is what I dreamed up. A yummy dessert that reminded me of the people I love.

Don't most of the best ideas start that way anyway, right?

Still coming down from an exciting weekend, hopping into everything Valentines Day!

Thank you @cbcbakingshow for having me. I met the most welcoming casting crew and so many inspirational fellow bakers that I was in awe of. I had the time of my life in Toronto this past weekend.

Thank you for all the well wishes, I'll be stalking my email for the foreseeable weeks (baha) and back to reality tomorrow with my home kitchen and hooligans.

Regardless of the outcome, I am feeling honored for this experience. Younger me would pinch me, and that's good enough for me 😉♥️

A " Horny Cow Cake"

Now, before you spit your drink out, a little laugh for your weekend.

My 5 year old son calls eeveerrry animal with horns a " horny _____ " , including our goats I brought home over Christmas. They are not just goats. They are " horny goats "

So what did Mr 5 want for his birthday party with his friends today?
" A horny cow cake," please! Lol

So that we did.

On a personal note, I hope to add one of these in real life to our herd here someday 😉

For now, a cute cake and a little laugh. Kids are the absolute funniest humans, and they don't even realize it.

Now I'm going to audition innnn person at the end of January infront of the judges and producers and safe to say i am freaking out! Lol

I'm allowed to share the journey of my day that day on here so that's exactly what I intend to do!

I have to bake and take an item with atleast 6 servings to wow the judges, this is where I need you guys!

It can not need refrigeration so my cheesecakes are out!

Help me decide what to bake?!!
